Have you won any awards with your business does it get any notoriety for it? I’m not sure notoriety is the right word. I don’t think anybody wants notoriety is like infame instead of fame. Several years back, Boston magazine, which is the big lifestyle magazine in the period of Boston area selected my own company, which I call dry sales carpet care, has the best carpet cleaning company in Boston and they haven’t since included that category in their annual award. So I’m still arraigning carpet cleaning, best of Boston Award winner from Boston magazine. I keep a straight a rating on Angie’s list, and on yelp. And, my company had been written up in the Boston Sunday Globe magazine a few times now. So, yeah I’d say we have done very, very well with the public and the press.

Do customers prefer a green carpet cleaning company?I think that they, like, they like, they like personal service, they like the fact that I’m a, I’m not adding chemicals to their, their home, they’re concerned about their children or older people in the home or, or the dogs and pets, pets. They liked the convenience that they don’t have weight carpets for two or three days drying out after the carpet has been playing with a traditional, a steam pipe, a carpet cleaning process. I think those are the main benefits that my customers like. OK. And um, so we’ve talked about a little bit about, you know, your dry mouth and then we’ve talked about the hot water extraction. So can you just go over like the pros and cons of each one? Um, I’m not sure if I can give you pros for steam carpet cleaning. That’s kind of from last uh, century, uh, that there are people still doing it. It’s still makes up like 90 percent of the industry. I think there are more drawbacks to it then there are pluses a, but of course people will argue this endlessly as like our religion and politics and um, and, and what you’d like to eat for breakfast. But I think people who, who used nature’s quick dry method will find that they have a very, very viable system and they’re a great alternative to what’s available with most of the companies offering very wet cleaning, probably using nasty chemicals. So I think just quick dry gives you a real, a real marketing, a real foothold. The real liver up. You were saying like, you know, with the, with the steam of the hot water extraction, does that take longer to dry then like so that they can’t use the accounting quite a bit longer to dry a can take a couple of days to fully dry out if it’s done well, it dries quicker than that, but it’s not always done well. A lot of the carpet cleaning industry relies upon not terribly well trained, not terribly highly motivated people hired on somebody truck. So there be a lot of water in the carpet. Yup. And then, so you can’t even really use the competent that point. Very clued can. But if we’re going to go on the research question, so would the, would the nature’s quick dry met? It’s, you can use it immediately. You can use it soak, soaking wet. OK.
The post What Do Your Customers Like About Your Carpet Cleaning Service? appeared first on Natures Quick Dry. from https://naturesquickdry.com/customers-like-carpet-cleaning-service/ Why I decided to start a carpet cleaning business. What made you decide to start a carpet cleaning business? you gotta be you gotta, keep in mind how much capital you’re going to require now working in the public sector, mainly facilities. You don’t get to build up a huge bank account. You’re working in the public sector. Uh, so I had to work within my own means. So I looked at various industries and I felt that I could equip myself pretty well and start out in this particular business and that expanded as I was able to adding other services, which I have done. OK, great. Um, so you talked a little bit of all the good capital insomnia’s it’s low. This is what it is. What are some other reasons why the carpet cleaning business is a good business to stop? Well, you, it used to be just carpet cleaning carpets now are in competition with other types of floor surface materials. A wood floors are coming back as a fair amount of tile. So if you can make some of these in, as I’ve managed to do in my business, uh, you can do the carpet cleaning and I manage other services with partner businesses into my own business. Uh, I partnered with a wood floor refinishing guy and I partnered with a marble floor refinisher. So if I see opportunities in a customers home or business where this work needs to be done, I can call on one of these guys and have a good chance of getting that. I also do under my carpet cleaning hat you might say upholstery cleaning and tile and grout cleaning. Also in the process of adding new services in, sanitizing, disinfecting and odor elimination with some new equipment better recently. Um.
The post What Made You Decide To Start A Carpet Cleaning Business? appeared first on Natures Quick Dry. from https://naturesquickdry.com/made-decide-start-carpet-cleaning-business/ How much money do I need to start A carpet cleaning business? What are the typical costs, and I know there’s different types of carpet cleaning equipment and um, what are the startup costs and like compared like I know you do like green carpet cleaning, so is that more expensive than the typical, like in regular comp or cleaning because it’s a green system or is it, um, you know, the same price or. I think it’s less, um, I use a interesting combination, combination of low moisture carpet cleaning, which means very quick drive or convenient for the customer along with all natural cleaning products. That’s a nice niche to be in. You’re not bringing chemicals into the customer’s home. Many people are concerned about chemicals in their home and they want to get chemicals out, chemicals out of their home. Chemicals are associated with asthma, with autism, with breathing difficulties, with cancer, with all sorts of things. So the cleaner your business can be a in the absence of chemicals, I think the stronger you’re going to be with the market, particularly with the Hydra higher demographic side of the market. People who spend money on green and healthy are more likely to have more spending money. They’re more likely to be hiring people to do the sort of work somebody else might go into the supermarket and rent that, uh, a green Dr Green Dr, or Dr Sam, uh, to do their carpet cleaning a, they’re not your customer, they’re trying to do it all themselves. So one of the soft costs for, uh, the prices of my packages run mainly between 2000 and $3,000. Now, if you were to go into the hot water extraction side of carpet cleaning, you’d be looking to spend several times that you’d need a pretty heavy truck. A, you’d need some pretty heavy duty equipment unless you were buying somebody’s old junk from somebody who try to make a business out of hot water extraction, carpet cleaning, but didn’t make it. And who knows how well that’s going to hold up. But for two to $3,000, you could pretty much fully equip yourself in my system. Then that’s. So the cost of signing this would be the equipment. Do you need a special vehicle? And a special. But I know that the hot water extraction has seen those vans was all austen equipment in it. Wouldn’t you need a van, like a big truck to your equipment and you could start it with a smaller vehicle. A station where I got in the small suv have I use Honda element of quite nicely. Small suv carries virtually everything and not virtually about everything I need, including extra machines for larger jobs, um, to the mission. And the vehicle doesn’t need to be expensive. And uh, yeah, the cost two to 3000 plus a vehicle, you’ve got to have a vehicle to get around, right? Why you gotta be going to be driving something, make it something that has some room in the back that carry equipment. I should be clean and neat looking. You don’t want to rush the bucket to pull up in front of her customer’s house. So you’ve gotta have something, doesn’t have to be new, but it should be kept clean and neat or have your sign on it. Not much more complicated than that.
The post How Much Will It Cost To Start A Carpet Cleaning Business appeared first on Natures Quick Dry. from https://naturesquickdry.com/much-will-cost-start-carpet-cleaning-business/ Gree Carpet Cleanig EquipmentAll right, let me tell you a little bit about the equipment. We’d do just about everything we do, using what’s called orbital or oscillating floor machines and hand the machines. Oscillating means the machine kind of hums or vibrates. Um, it’s, uh, it creates a sort of scrubbing pattern with terry cloth or microfiber pads used with the machines and the Terry cloth or the microfiber. I’m sure the soil is created by the agitation that you’re getting from the oscillating floor machine, two sizes of machines, a large and one small one for tighter areas and a small one that we use for carpeted stair cleaning and upholstery cleaning. So that’s kind of a, we’re oscillating the interviews and the industry is OK for orbital pad or oscillating pattern, but we have a very interesting or exciting new machine that I’ve been testing. Um, I heard about a year, a couple years ago from a friend. I have a friend who drinks alkaline water. He drinks it for health purposes. People who drink alkaline water from a device that they hook up to their kitchen sinks say that this makes them healthier and I don’t drink alkaline water, but I use it as a cleaning product. Now it’s totally green. It’s water that has had a trace of salt added to it and an electrical current run through her from two very specific electrodes in the water. The electrodes are titanium and platinum. What happens when you introduce electricity into plain old tap water is two things happen. One, you take the alkalinity and you push it way up from its alkalinity is Ph, which is where the water is neutral or alkaline or acid. With this does it takes neutral tap water with a Ph of about seven and pushes it up to around 11 and a half, which is what you get when you added encourage detergent, but we do a with electricity and without detergent. What it also does is it acts on the water as if you had added a water softening chemical to it. It makes the water softer, thinner, more viscous, so it’s better able to penetrate into areas where the soil is. We do this all with plain water and electricity. You don’t need this device which is about a $2,500 device in the business, but it lets you never have to buy cleaning products again for a one time investment and it makes you angry and as you possibly can be green because there’s. There’s no carbon trail in the sense of manufacturing and cleaning products and those shipping planting products. There’s no bottling up cleaning products in millions of plastic jugs. We’d end up out in the landfill or body of water down the street or in the ocean or that sort of thing. So it’s sort of like double green, triple agreeing kind of planning and when, when you’re done with the job, there’s no residue from detergent left in the carpet. Residue left in the carpet from detergents and soaps is what makes the carpet resort will work quickly. You’ve been using water, so when the job was done in the water evaporates and there’s no reservoir. They are. The customer loves that because their carcass don’t get cleaned.
The post Carpet Cleaning Equipment – What Do I Need? appeared first on Natures Quick Dry. from https://naturesquickdry.com/carpet-cleaning-equipment-need/ Can I start a carpet cleaning business with no employees?Transcript from video: How many people were on, how many? Well, we’ll start with employees. How many employees that I need to get started? Can I just stop this when I saw your story itself and as you’re able to generate business, uh, through your marketing, uh, you might want to add people you may want and then just put yourself in the office and have one or two people to do all your work. You want to train them? Well, you want them to be courteous, so the other face of your business now, not you. When you’re in the face of your business, you’re very concerned with being a, you know, glued matters and treating your customer right during the drive, right? As you get bigger than you, you have to manage it as a business more than doing it by yourself. And you know, what’s a good, you know, a good customer base for common planning to make a living on. How many customers would I need to have? I know you said Ali, um, it’s about 75 to $9,500 an hour. Well, it depends. It all depends on, it depends somewhat on the neighborhoods or the cities and towns that have access, uh, those with higher income are going to be more likely to be your customers because you’re the green guy, not just the a carpet cleaner who was trying to sell cheap carpet cleaning and you’re the quality guy and your dry carpet cleaning the little low moisture quick dry carpet cleaning. So you’ve got a lot of things going for you. I think the most important thing going on is the fact that you are healthy and you’re using green products and you’re not bringing chemicals into the house. Now it depends upon whether you are doing this part time. You can only handle so many customers part-time. And if you’re, if you’re grossing around $100 an hour and you can generate about a, let’s say a normal person on a job where it’s about 2000 hours a year, right? So maybe a year to actually about a thousand of. So the equivalent of working about a half a day and if you’re a, you bring in $100 an hour for a thousand hours in a year than your grocery, around 100,000, you’re going to have expenses against that. But that’s still working about cards. I’m actually on the job. Yeah. See that, sort of clarify the protection. OK. So, um, you talked a little bit about like add on services that you could, w w, what are the types of services or carpet cleaning, um, will be your, you’ll be it as a carpet cleaning business. You’ll do wall-to-wall carpeting do area rugs, including quite valuable orientals. A, you will do stair carpeting, um, many people in this business, clean upholstery as well. You’ll already have the equipment in my package to clean upholstery. You’ll be able to read very to clean tile and grout Flores with the equipment you have and you may want to go on to do a odor elimination types of services. Um, the new device, and I’ll tell you about this man or this or that. I’m using kills mold odor and has a great sanitizing disinfecting kind of ability to it.
The post Do I Need To Hire Employees For My Carpet Cleaning Business? appeared first on Natures Quick Dry. from https://naturesquickdry.com/need-hire-employees-carpet-cleaning-business/ Can Anyone Start A Carpet Cleaning Business?Transcript from video: First of all, I was just thinking know is it a good idea to start a business and why should have started a business of my own, um, you know, what, what are the difficulties in and what are the rewards Well, as both the difficulties or the rewards that you prefer working for other people or would you rather be your own boss? Um, I like working for myself or kind of, I think, I mean I worked for somebody now and um, you know, it seems like an interesting thing if maybe I can even start time with something like that. I’m doing this type of work. OK, well you can a start part time started a full time, but it’s probably best to start any new ventures sort of increase eventuate, a sort of step by step and see if it works for ucf is right for you. See if you feel comfortable. Uh, there’s a lot of responsibilities. A, you’re, you’re the guy who’s going to get the business and maybe do the work as well. So those are some of the things just to think about it. So I stopped this of time. This is like the, the starting a business you have, you can do a part time. There was no. Oh yeah, yeah. I mean a lot of people that have a purchase, the package of equipment and supplies and training they show the materials that I sell have started part time. They’ve kept their business. Uh, there have been guys doing. Are you doing other services? There have been people working for other people, uh, and they uh, do this on their days off or on weekends or late afternoon, that sort of thing. Yeah. So I mean because I have a day job and you know, primarily like, you know, with a common painting business. When do you do most of your work? Because it is, once you get rolling you’re probably gonna do more of it in the main hours of the work days and Saturdays maybe Saturday mornings or all day Saturday. It’s kind of up to you and the customer. That’s the nice part of it. In your schedule, what you have to chime in on what the customer has for time and um, is there any way, like, is there any ways that I could do is ask Blake and nighttime, is there any type of incentives? So commercial carpet cleaning more of that is done at night, a office type things, things where people aren’t there in the evening hours. There are people who specialize in doing that side of it, but if you’re going to be looking to do mainly in my business I do mainly residential, but some commercial and nearly all of that is scheduled during the normal nine to five, eight, three and five hours with, with some on, on Saturday. I don’t schedule Sundays. I do commercial work. Some things that into weekends and evenings. So you’re going to be a little, a little flexible. So I could, I could do this on a Saturday and that was the trigger in several hundred dollars in your Saturday morning or all day Saturday and that might be enough to sort of encourage you to keep going now. How long have you been doing common planning had you contemplated by started this? Uh, 20 plus years ago. I had a career in the public sector as an urban planner, but I reached a point where I thought I wanted to try something in the private sector, see if I had some Andrea from an aerial skill. So I kind of wrapped up what I was doing as a planner and just start at this point blank. So I sort of how to make it work and made it work. And uh, been doing it ever since. Nineteen 90. Well.
The post Should I Start My Own Carpet Cleaning Business? appeared first on Natures Quick Dry. from https://naturesquickdry.com/start-carpet-cleaning-business/ Is Natures Quick Dry A Carpet Cleaning Franchise?Video Transcription: With Natures Quick Dry, are there any like franchise fees with it or anything like that? So it was, you know, what type of business setup is not a franchise, a, there were no franchise fees, there are commissions that are paid, you basically buy or a package of carpet cleaning equipment, supplies and training materials and I think pretty much based on that you’ll be able to get your business going. You have the freedom to innovate as you see fit. And um, I am happy to help people on the phone after the fact after you bought your package, I’d done that with many people or by email until you’re pretty much, it’s sort of like putting training wheels on you and holding you and so as you can get on the sidewalk and then pretty soon you don’t do the training wheels that you don’t need me anymore. Um, do you have any, the training that goes with your packages, is that because, or do you have training and is there a cost? The additional cost of training? I have a carpet cleaning training manual that I include in the package. There is no separate training here on premises or I don’t travel to you to train you, but it’s pretty quick. A study kind of thing. You will need a lot of a hands-on training for me. You’ll, you’ll see it. I’ll point out some videos where you can see this being done and adjust as I picked us up in no time you can show. So the. So if I was just a complete beginner like I’m getting into this business, I’ve never cleaned one cop, maybe even vacuum the carpet, I would be able to, you know, get, get going with that. Hundreds of people have. And I saw hundreds of these packages and no one’s ever got back saying, I just don’t know how to use this thing. Uh, no one’s ever tried to return one of the main machines, which is called the challenger machine. Um, you would be able to go right out and do it. Very simple, very short learning curve. The post Are There Any Franchise Fees With The Natures Quick Dry Carpet Cleaning System? appeared first on Natures Quick Dry. from https://naturesquickdry.com/franchise-fees-natures-quick-dry-carpet-cleaning-system/ Starting A Carpet Cleaning BusinessHow much, you might ask, does it cost to start your own carpet cleaning business? There is no exact answer to this question. The answer depends largely upon which cleaning method you want to be identified with. If your choice is to offer hot water extraction (HWE), perhaps better known as “steam” cleaning, you can spend a little or a lot. If on the other hand, you choose to offer your customers some form of low-moisture carpet cleaning, then your cost for carpet cleaning equipment plus needed supplies will be somewhere between very little and not a whole lot more than very little. Hot Water Extraction (HWE) Equipment CostsIf your choice is HWE, you can begin with a portable “extractor” package, probably priced in the $2000 – $4000 range, depending upon its rated PSI and how many attachments come with the package. Most practitioners of the steam cleaning method, especially those who run truck-mounted systems, would probably discourage you from buying one of the low PSI models. The higher the PSI (up around 1200) the better the soil removing ability, they say. Truck Mounted Carpet Cleaning EquipmentIf you wish to go the truck-mount route yourself, a manufacturer or distributor of truck-mounted carpet cleaning systems should be able to sell you the basic mechanical unit for somewhere in the range of $20,000 to $30,000. Then, of course, you will need the truck itself, as well as the various additional items used by TM users. There is also the used truck mount market. Let’s just say that if buying a TM unit, it’s kind of like buying a new car vs. a used car. Low Moisture Carpet Cleaning EquipmentIf you are perceptive enough to appreciate the customer benefits of low-moisture, rapid-dry carpet cleaning, then you can enter the business, with brand new equipment, for far less money. All of the Nature’s Quick-Dry packages, for example, sell for less than $3000. Low Moisture Carpet Cleaning PackagesWith one of these packages, you get a highly durable, made in the USA, Challenger brand oscillating floor machine, also known as an OP machine. The Challenger will enable you to professionally clean wall-to-wall carpeting, area rugs, as well as various types of tile floors Plus you will receive a tool for the low-moisture cleaning both carpeted stairs and upholstery, using a method that won’t leave your customer waiting days for everything you’ve cleaned to dry out. There are other costs, of course, to keep in mind. Perhaps foremost among these is the cost of marketing your new service. Since the internet has become the most used method for both marketing as well as locating almost any kind of service, the more tech-savvy you are in this area means the less money you will have to spend for others to set up and operate internet marketing methods for you. This should be an incentive for anyone starting a business in any field to do some research, some homework in such techniques as SMM (social media marketing),

The post Carpet Cleaning Business Opportunity | How Much Will It Cost appeared first on Natures Quick Dry. from http://naturesquickdry.com/carpet-cleaning-business-opportunity-much-will-cost/ Starting A Carpet Cleaning BusinessLet me talk to you, one on one, about what it takes to start a carpet cleaning business. When Is A Good Time To Get Started?First of all, there’s no perfect time to start your own carpet cleaning business. You could start it early in life, just after wrapping up your formal education, at whatever level – high school, college, whatever. At this time in your young life, you are free to make decisions that won’t be as easy to make later in life, after family obligations have come into being.
Or you could start this business later in life, after trying a few other things along the way. This is what I did. I had spent 20+ years working for various city governments, as an urban planner. Much of it was interesting and challenging work, and I could think of myself as a professional. But after this amount of time dealing in complex Some people wait until much later in life to follow their dream, that of owning and operating their own business. I have sold Nature’s Quick-Dry carpet cleaning equipment packages to people who were approaching, or who were already in civilian or military retirement. They still felt strong and vital, and the prospect of working daily with carpet cleaning equipment was not so much a problem as it was for these people a challenge to be embraced. My own experience (I started my carpet cleaning business in 1990, and am still out there every day making my customers happy, working my mind and my muscles, and taking home nice amounts of cash and checks.) I did a job just a couple of days ago for a long-time repeat customer who likes me come to her very high-end house once a year to clean her large collection of high quality oriental and other area rugs. I was there from between the hours of 8 AM and 1 PM, and as I was leaving she was thanking me as she wrote me out a check for just under $1250. These days I only go to the gym for exercise on those rare days when I don’t have appointments. I tell my customers that their home, or business premises, is my gym. So, you see, you can choose to start a carpet cleaning business of your own no matter what stage of life you may be in. With my Nature’s Quick-Dry business start-up program, you can purchase everything you need to offer high-quality professional services, delivered in a healthy way, for less than $3000. If you have faith in your abilities to work smart and hard for your growing base of very happy customers, then now is the best time for you to get started. About UsAfter about 20 years of making a living in city government, as an urban planner, I had been growing tired of city and town hall politics and the frequent long and tedious meetings involved in that field. I knew I needed to look at something new and altogether different from what I had long been doing. In 1990, after exploring a number of possible industries, I surprised even myself by zeroing in on the field of carpet cleaning. ArchivesNo Archives Categories |
